RAIL1520 bought out the railcar fleet from the Specialized Transportation Company

RAIL1520 Leasing Company (Rail1520 LLC) has bought out the entire fleet of box freight cars totaling 226 items from the Specialized Transportation Company, CJSC, (Spetsializirovannaya Perevozochnaya Kompaniya). The average age of the acquired freight cars manufactured by Altaivagonzavod, OJSC, (SDS-Mash Holding Company) is 5 years.

The multi-purpose box car model 11-280 with an extended railcar body of 138 cubic meters and carrying capacity of 68 tons, is designed for transportation of mass-market products: packaged, stacked, palletized and some loose cargoes that require protection against precipitation.

Roman Savushkin, CEO of RAIL1520, states that «due to purchasing of box freight cars we will be able not only to diversify the company railcar fleet and expand our client base, but also to receive a profitable asset that has already triggered higher rental rates. Today, box freight cars are among the most sought-after types of rolling stock».
