RAIL1520 is expanding its fleet of freight cars

RAIL1520 Leasing Company (Rail1520, LLC) has acquired 1,400 new freight cars manufactured by Azovobschemash, PJSC (member of Azovmash, PJSC, Ukraine). The total transaction amount exceeds USD 100mln.

Under the agreement, the manufacturer supplied 100 tank cars of the 15-1547-03 type and 1,300 gondola cars of the 12-1704-04 type to RAIL1520. The four-axle tank car with an 85.6 cubic meter vessel and 66 ton carrying capacity is designed for transportation of gasoline and other light oil products by 1520mm and 1435mm gauge mainline railroads (requires undercarriage change). Freight gondola cars with an 88 m3 body and 69 ton capacity are designed for 1520mm mainline railroads to transport loose, bulky, stacked, packaged and long cargoes that do not require protection against precipitation.
