UWC to open two additional freight cars servicing centers, based on customers repair resources

PJSC “Research and production corporation “United Wagon Company” (RPC UWC or the Company) (MOEX: UWGN), the market leader in innovative railcar building in the 1520 mm gauge area, opens two additional centers for servicing and repair of freight cars, set on innovative bogies with increased axle load, using freight car repair enterprises of customers. Relevant agreements have been signed with LLC “Uralchem-Trans” and PJSC “Uralkali”. Thus, servicing direction of RPC UWC as of today is represented by a network of 6 training and 57 servicing centers in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

The parties have agreed about the creation of servicing centers for carrying out of warranty and post-warranty service of railway rolling stock, manufactured by RPC UWC freight car building plants. The servicing centers will be created on the territory of the private freight car repair depots, which are located at railway stations of “Murashi” of the Gorky Railway (Uralchem-Trans) and “Berezniki-sorting station” (“Balakhontsi” fleet) of the Sverdlovsk Railway (Uralkali). Both depots have been assigned a 3-rd category of servicing centers, giving them the right to carry out current uncoupling repairs and store original spare components (assemblies and parts) of innovative Tikhvin bogies in warehouses.

Dmitry Losev, Deputy CEO for Technological Development at United Wagon Company, pointed out: “It is of great importance for us that our customers’ enterprises now have freight car repair sites for innovative freight cars servicing at their disposal. Therefore we become even closer to our customers and can further decrease freight car repair time”.

The issue of training the personnel of freight car repair depots of Uralchem-Trans and Uralkali has already been tackled: the personnel have attended classes, dedicated to the technology of innovative bogies servicing and current repair.
